Engagement Session

Here are some photos from an engagement session that I did with Heather and James. They were adorable, and it was the first time that I had ever shot while on a carousel.

I am looking forward to their wedding next year.

Last Wedding of the Season

Tomorrow my 2nd photographer, Brandon, and I are heading out for the last wedding of the season. I am feeling a little sad this season is over. I still have some photos to edit, but for the most part, the season is over, and it has been a serious blast. The couples have been amazing to work with.

I only hope the next season is as good as this one has been. More on the changes for next year coming up in some more posts. Stay tuned.

Seriously Good Eats!

I recently worked with Amalfi's at a wedding. They are a caterer, and a good one at that. The food at the wedding was amazing, actually some of the best of this entire wedding season. If you are still looking for a wedding caterer, check them out because I am sure that you will not feel sorry.

Jessica and Alfonso

I am a little behind on posting photos of weddings, but I wanted to share some from this wedding with you because I think some of them are just stunning. They are a little different than my normal style because it was a very traditional wedding, which is different than I am used to doing. There are lots of color images from the wedding, but the black and white ones are my favorites.
Little kids dancing in the aisles of weddings make for great photos.
This flower girl was on top of her job!
Quick kiss in a limo.
These dancing photos are a little outside of my normal range of photos, but here are some of the more "artsy" and unique ones that I took.

I just love this series with the groom and his silly friends.

Wedding Season Ends

The wedding season is quickly coming to a close, with my final wedding coming up on November 4th. I am taking some time off during the winter to play with my new baby girl!

It is also time for me to look at and reflect over the wedding season that is coming to a close and to get revved up for and make new ideas/packages/promotions, etc. for the wedding season that is to come.

One thing I am going to change is my blog. I am going to start blogging about not only my weddings with some images from each (I will be on top of it this time, I promise), I will be blogging about ideas for brides. They will be tips to make the wedding go more smoothly, especially from a planning aspect. Look forward to this because I get my information from various places and adapt it for my brides and myself.

Keep reading. I am looking forward to the future now.

Swamped

I am swamped right now with wedding edits, but when I see a clearing, I will be putting some more photos up.

And, I have some big announcements, but I'm withholding them for a couple days.

The New 40D

Canon recently announced the release of a new camera, the 40D. It was to be predicted since they had a 20D and a 30D.

But I can't see a reason to upgrade. I love my 30D, it got me through the current wedding season beautifully. I had no problems and it really behaved itself. This camera takes beautiful photographs, and I do not feel a technical limitation to it at all. It can handle my big lens and my big flash, and it takes some amazing photos.

So, no upgrade for me. I'm sticking with the 30D for a while!

Historic Overlook House

The Yellow Cow Photo team has gone out and done it again. I am a little behind on my blogging and photos from recent weddings because it is the height of the season and I have been running around like mad trying to get things done. I am told, such is life, and I need to get on top of it!

Here are some photos from a gorgeous couple. Their wedding was at the historic overlook house in Portland. It was a gorgeous wedding.

New Art Show Up

I hung an art show on Friday in Sellwood.

It was good to get a show up again. It is the same show I have had up before with some of my favorite photos from Greece. I have decided that this is not going to be the only show I do in a while. I like to do it and get my name out there a little bit. Plus, it is always a bonus to get some pieces sold.

It is at a Better Choice Health center off 17th street in Sellwood. Very exciting!
